Per Stirling was very excited to host its annual "Bring Your Child to Work Day" this month, which allowed the younger members of the Per Stirling family to see where their parents work, to meet many of their parent's co-workers, and to have fun with their families. The day featured a series of engaging and interactive activities and provided a fantastic opportunity for children to gain insight into their parents' professional lives while enjoying quality time together.
The day began with an hour dedicated to classic board games and puzzles. "Hungry Hungry Hippos" and "Apples to Apples" quickly emerged as crowd favorites, providing an entertaining start to the event. Laughter and friendly competition filled the room and set the tone for the rest of the day. After the morning activities, everyone enjoyed some pizza for lunch, which was a hit among both kids and adults. The lunch break was followed by a refreshing visit from the Kona Ice Truck!
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the animal show presented by Wild Things Zoofari. Children were thrilled to meet and interact with an array of fascinating creatures. Fun facts about the animals added to the excitement: a lemur, known for its impressive leaping ability, can jump up to 25 feet in a single bound; a joey kangaroo spends about eight months in its mother’s pouch after birth; a chinchilla has the densest fur of any land mammal, with over 20,000 hairs per square centimeter; and a three-banded armadillo can roll itself into a ball for protection. The kids thoroughly enjoyed learning about these captivating creatures, and it was clear that some of the kids would have taken the animals home with them, if they could.
The festivities concluded on a high note with a lively bubble party. The kids chased bubbles, laughed, and made lasting memories.
With 40 employees, advisors and children combined, Per Stirling's "Bring Your Child to Work Day" was a tremendous success, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for co-workers and family alike. The event showcased the company's dedication to nurturing a family-friendly environment and creating meaningful moments for its employees and their families. Honestly, I wish work was like this every day!
